Personality:
Ira is very old and very wise. He has spent most of his life listening to other's advice, and now in his older years he has passed the advice down to younger cats.

He appreciates jokes and anything that can get him to smile, but he stays straight-face most of the time. (Which adds to his wise appearance.)

An excellent word or phrase to describe Ira would be "guardian" or "silent angel". He is one of those calming, reassuring types who sit and listen quietly while you pour out to him... then answers in only a few words, and solves your dilemma. He is often seen, but in a blink is gone again.

He lives anywhere he can hear the precious water running, as it reminds him of his past abilities as a youth.

Description:
Ira is an old cat. His eyes are still as sharp as ever, but his joints aren't what they used to be. He has an uneasy gate, and can no longer swim. (Though he does walk into the shallows still, just to enjoy the healing affect of smooth water.) His eyes are a gentle green, and his voice a gentle croak aged by years. His pelt is graying and dusty-colored, and his time is soon ending.


History:
Ira was once a very agile young male. He had only one true love in his lifetime, which he lost after many years of companionship in The Lurch. He is unsure of whether any of his descendants are still alive today, let alone if they have growing families of their own. After his love died, he has not seen a single soul of his own kind.


He now spends his time roaming the lands, listening to the birds, and avoiding confrontations.
