Picture:
Name: Nanuk
Species: Ocelot
Gender: Male
Age: 5 and 1/2 years
Personality:
Nanuk is a bi-polar cat. One minute, he can be all happy and excited. The next... well... he'll claw your face off. But hey, everyone has their flaws.
Nanuk likes a girl who can cope with his life. He isn't exactly one to adapt to another cat or another place. So he stays in a general area that he calls his territory. And this area he is very protective about. And anything that may lie in it.
On the other hand, Nanuk likes activities like swimming, racing, and hide-and-seek. Nanuk considers himself smart and strong on his part. He can be a fun guy if you get past his flaws. And once you do, he will trust you enough to open up to you. Trust me, he can be a great male when you know him.
Description:
Nanuk is a lightly colored Ocelot. His base color is a light tan. Contrasting with that is his ebony markings. Both of these features bring out his muddy eyes that twinkle or become dull, depending on his mood.
Currently, Nanuk has a small scar on his left hind leg. That is explained in his history. But it is almost covered by fur now.
Nanuk is a clean Ocelot. He sticks to regular grooming and he is picky about his looks. But he might have a clump sticking up here and there. But we must remember, he is a male.
Nanuk is a generally strong-built cat. He has sharp senses and uses them wisely. His legs are an average size for an Ocelot.
History:
Nanuk was born into an easy life. His mother had picked a rotting log for their den. It's strong smell hid their scent and it had a hole that an Ocelot could barely fit through. There, Nanuk grew with his brother and sisters.
As they became older, Nanuk began to wander. His mother had taught him how to survive. Hunting, scavenging, etc. But Nanuk wanted to get a picture of the world he lived in. Upon closer observation, he realized that he was on an island.
Nanuk soon became independent. He wouldn't cry for his mother to bring food. And he left and came as he pleased. But his mother leaving them surprised even Nanuk. They were sitting in the den when she left. And she never did return.
Nanuk was the first to leave. He did as his mother did. Nanuk established a small territory for himself and he patrolled it daily.
It was on a patrol that he ran into the jaguar. The cat nearly killed him. Nanuk was able to slip away from the battle, but he left with a deep gash on his hind leg. This was Nanuk's first encounter with the danger of the real world.
