Name: Sanaa
Species: Lion
Gender: Female
Age: 5 years
Personality:
Sanaa is a quiet female. It takes time to even get a word out of her. She feels that words are dangerous, given her past. Sanaa leads a solitary life as a result, but she finds it somewhat comforting. It would take some effort to ever get her in a pride.
But don't let that fool you. If you provoke her or show any type of aggression, she will become a raging cat with gleaming claws and sharp fangs. Sanaa with bite and slash until her opponent gives up. Or she is dead.
Somewhere in Sanaa, there is a small glimmer of the old cat she used to be. Her happiness is hard to get to, but it is there. Once your break through, she can be a nice feline to have around. But it will take a lot to get to that point.
Sanaa has a rare love for water. She can usually be found hanging out around a watering hole. But, ironically enough, she also likes to roll in dry dust bowls.
Description:
Sanaa is an average-built lioness. Her body is slightly skinnier than most, but not by much. Her legs are nice and long, able to carry her elegantly. Or give her a large striking range in a fight.
Sanaa had course fur. It protects her from the sun's rays and the insects that like to prey upon other animals. Her legs are lightly dappled in a dark golden that contrasts from her usual golden/light golden color. Her eyes are a vivid hazel that gleam in daylight and twinkle in moonlight.
Sanaa has a few scars on her body. Many are small and pointless, simply from a run-in with an angry buffalo or other lionesses. But she has a major scar that draws from her right eye to her right ear. That one is a result of the past.
History:
Sanaa used to be a playful and restless cub. She loved to bound around and play with her siblings and other cubs. Many of the male cubs liked her, but Sanaa did not pay too much attention to them.
One day, Sanaa was playing Find Me! with the other cubs when she got lost. Usually, she was able to follow the scent trail of her pride. But this time was different. The scent trail that she picked out was not from her pride, but a rival pride that had met her pride plenty of times before.
When Sanaa was in view, she was instantly surrounded by lionesses. In her little cub age, she was powerless to stop them as they circled her. But when one asked a question, she answered immediately.
"My pride is living over there, ma'am," she replied. The lioness smiled and gave an order. Sanaa was free, and she ran home. Sanaa was greeted with invitations to games, but it didn't last long. In the distance, the rival pride approached. The cubs were put under a rocky outcropping.
As the prides met once more in teeth and claws, Sanaa felt the pang of guilt. She had condemned her pride to this. And now, she wanted to help. Sanaa darted into the midst of a duel. She managed to bite the hind paw of the enemy, but was swatted.
Sanaa slid away, unconscious. When she awoke, her pride was gone. Except for the ones that lay dead on the ground. They must have mistaken Sanaa for gone too. She was able to move on and survive, but she never spoke to another again, in the fear that she would endanger herself or her friends.
