Oh yeah, they knew. That's why they sent all the animals up here, on Mars.
They year was 2050, and the humans knew that the world (Earth) would end. And in that year, all humans loved animals.
That is why they did it.
Over 100 million rockets full of animals were sent to Mars. The animals were saved, some any way.
It was when Austria was disolving that the humans forgot totally about the bears. They had forgot to send them. In an urge, they sent the bears up ... one hour before Earth blew up.
On Mars, the creatures made their dens and got into herds and prides. Loads of species died and some ran off to the other ends of Mars. But the big cats survived. All of them. And so did most of their prey.
Earth is gone forever, and the animals have long forgotten the humans who saved them ... except the bears. And the big cats. Because they were the last 2 species to be shipped off. They will never forget. Ever.
